-Idoia Monton - A tangible reflection
Idoia Monton, the antagonist, situates her work in a terrain free of regulations. Her activity is an account of inputs and outputs in an autobiography and biography of the ordinary. It is a selective process, a focal point in a slow moving life, delicately eccentric. Idoia’s practice has been continual, exhaustive and all the time more refractory to capital and its culture of fatality. Nothing is crystallized in her work.
Her complex installations need an uninterrupted time in order to capture a state of resolution. They are case studies installed in spaces which are subordinate to the three-dimensional devices, the painted and the structure of the drawing like stories and products, never separated and always in proliferation.
Idoia abuses presentation methodologies, transforming them into combinations of the mimesis of the ordinary, the anticapitalist function and feminist disobedience .
